The cuisine of Alsace

Although being the smallest region of France in size, Alsace does remains vast and rich in gourmet dining. Both border with Switzerland and Germany, it is crossed by the Rhine. Timbered houses, churches with steeples novels and scenery postcard size of its towns and villages are home to one of the most demanding areas of France.

In Alsace, it does not skimp on quantity! The Alsatian gastronomy but also charcuterie pastry, refined and traditional. Among the typical dishes, there is of course the famous sauerkraut, which will satisfy the greediest. In Alsace, you can also taste the ham on the bone, the winegrower pie, the stew, the baeckeoffe, a potato-based dish, meat and vegetables which has the distinction of requiring more than 24h preparation. just that !
