Owners description
La Girarde is a beautifully restored, boutique Chambres d'hôtes (b&b) set in park and woodland. Close to the famous vineyards of Saint Emilion, Sainte Foy Bordeaux & Bergerac. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming with the emphasis on unwinding and being spoilt in lovely surroundings.
The Rooms
Four individually decorated, luxurious bedrooms all with Egyptian cotton bedding, sumptuous duvets & pillows, handmade soft furnishings and internet access.
All Ensuite
Bathrooms are all ensuite, modern & spacious with big towels, REN skincare products, hairdryers and separate WC.
Swimming pool
The pool is within a sunny courtyard, completely hidden from the outside world. Treated with salt, so more ecological and kinder to the skin. Lie back on a lounger and relax.
Garden
There is lots of space to escape with a book or iPod and if the gardens are not big enough there are two woods to explore.
Food
A breakfast of fresh croissant, breads, juices, homemade jams, yoghurt & compote. Not forgetting a choice of tea & coffee are laid out buffet style.
Evening meals, booked in advance, are a no choice affair – three courses of delicious, locally sourced & organic produce where possible.
Children under 12 years old eat at 18h30 – a simple but tasty menu (all homemade) of main course & pudding.
