15 years ago Véronique and Olivier decided to breathe new life into the Chateau . Olivier is passionate about restoring old buildings, he’s imaginative and dynamic . Upgrading and renovating the Chateau is an ongoing project. Véronique will look after your every need with warmth and attentiveness . This lovely couple are perfect and welcoming hosts.

Château de Nazelles : A Charming Guesthouse in the Loire Valley
Véronique & Olivier Fructus warmly welcome you to Château de Nazelles, an authentic and intimate sixteenth-century manor surrounded by extensive and tranquil grounds. Snuggled on a hillside across the River Loire from Amboise (1.6 miles,) and nearby Château de Chenonceau (10 miles), Château de Nazelles is ideally situated to visit all the castles of the Loire Valley. Dating back to 1518, residence of the Lords of Nazelles, the chateau, listed historical monument, was also a wine estate for many centuries. You will be charmed by the unusual layout of the property and its many hidden corners and features.
We propose five guestrooms, spread over into the property for your intimacy. They all have queen size beds, or twin beds that can become a king size bed, and a private en-suite bathroom. They have spectacular views directly over the valley, the woods or the garden.
In the living-room, French billiard, television, computer with internet connection, Wi-Fi-connection, games, touristic books and leaflets, all at your disposal. In the gardens, tables, long chairs, summer kitchen and a barbecue. The outside pool is at your disposal from Mid-May to the end of September. You can park your car in the courtyard. Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 10.30 in a large dining room in the chateau. We propose coffee, tea or hot chocolate, croissants, two types of bread (all from the local bakery), home-made jams, different types of honey produced locally, fruit juice, yogurt, fresh cheese from the farm, and season fruits.
The whole property is smoke free. We do have outdoor pets and therefore prefer not to accept other animals on our premises.

Known as the garden of France, the area is famous for its historic chateaux and wonderful wines; no place in the world offers such a variety of exceptional sites, made of authentic chateaux, manors, villages, churches and abbeys.
The "château de Nazelles" is set in the centre of the Loire valley’s most famous castles and monuments, Amboise being 3 km away.
We have all of the delights of the local countryside at our doorstep and, with our help if necessary, you can access a wide range of other facilities such as troglodyte homes, renaissance gardens, wine tasting caves (Vouvray, Montlouis, Bourgueil, Chinon) or local cooking.
