The charming, family-owned Château d’Omiécourt is set in landscaped, 16-hectare grounds close to the Somme battlefields. The view over a verdant expanse (framed by century-old trees) induces a true sense of tranquillity and relaxation. This magical location is just 15 minutes away from the historic town of Péronne and its nature reserve around the ponds of the river Somme, 45 minutes from Amiens (with its magnificent Gothic cathedral) and Compiègne (with its “Château Impérial”) and one hour from Paris and Lille. The Château d’Omiécourt offers a range of options for leisure breaks or business stopovers, with BnB and two comfortably furnished gîtes. The Château itself can accommodate 12 BnB guests, whereas the separate Ormieux gîte can host up to 7 people (or even 11, with the adjoining “Palefrenier” Room). The new “Potager” gîte can accommodate up to 6 guests. This is the first (and so far the only) gîte in the Somme with a “4 épis” rating from Gîtes de France.
