La Terre d’Or is ideally situated on the hill of Beaune:

- Located 2 mn by car from the center of Beaune and in 20 mn only by foot, along a charming little road through the vineyards,

- In a privileged natural environment, above vineyards and at the edge of pines forest,

- With unforgettable views, since gardens and terrace, over the old town of Beaune: Hôtel-Dieu, church Notre-Dame, ramparts…

- Sometimes, you may be lucky to enjoy the great views over the chain of the Alps and Mont Blanc, 200 km on the horizon.

A FAMILY STORY

Jean-Louis & Christine transformed the family home into a charming B&B in 1999 and then added Les Pins and Les Lilas cottages. Vincent (their son) joined them in 2010 and is now in charge but they are still very much around the place.

You will love to walk and relax in Christine’s gardens which she has organically cultivated herself for 25 years: wild and cultivated flowers, bushes, century trees, stone walkways, old stone walls, …It’s full of birds and butterflies!

Vincent, Jean-Louis and Elodie: we are very happy to welcome you and will make sure you have a great stay with us. We will give you an insider’s view on how best discover Burgundy: maps and directions, restaurants and winemakers reservations, wine-tasting, cooking classes with outings by foot, bicycle, car, hot-air balloon, … We can offer at La Terre d’Or: wine tasting in the natural grotto under the house, Burgundy wine classes, cooking classes with a Chef, SPA and relaxation in our grotto.

We really enjoy to share our love for Burgundy so if you want to discover the Burgundy of the prestigious names but also the hidden Burgundy, we can offer the all-inclusive 3- or 5-night stay  or a  full-day or half-day quited tour  with us.

OUTSTANDING SETTINGS WITH PERSONALIZED DECOR

To respect your privacy, while still offering you our full services, the 3 houses are only steps away from our own home.  We are small and won’t grow bigger so as to ensure your peacefulness. We welcome couples, families and small groups of friends. From 4 to 20 persons, we can privatise 1, 2 or 3 of the houses just for you.

Every room is carefully fitted out and decorated with a taste for the simple, natural and warm things and Nathalie makes sure it’s confortable and very clean. Michel can fix and renovate anything, from wood (his favourite) to electricity and plumbing.

In your room, in the garden and in the cave, you will be amazed by  the sculpures of Jurga  (Vincent’s wife) so meaning and full of humanity. You may expect them to move and start talking anytime!

EXTENDED WELL-PRESERVED NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Walk in the organic garden and you will discover wild orchids, lavenders, butterfly bushes patiently selected, developed and assembled by Christine. On your own, you will discover, from the prairie behind up to the pine forest above the hill, a surprising variety of flowers and wild butterflies.

UNIQUE WINE CELLAR: A REAL CAVE

Used in the Middle Ages and enlarged a few times in the last 20 years, the grotto is the result of a family work and a very special place. We will take you there for a unique visit and we will speak about  to the wine tasting, help you discover the secret of Burgundy wines . Take advantage of an incredible and surprising moment of  relaxation in the SPA of the cave. You will find yourself in an atmosphere that is rather unique to say the least… and we’ll stop there!
