Housed in a renovated 15th Century Templar farmhouse that has been restored with local materials traditionally used in mountain homes - stone, larch, natural wall finishes... Ideally situated in the heart of the Ubaye valley...

The residence retains many beautiful features from the past such as the old larch central staircase, the outdoor bread oven, with its roof of wooden shingles, and the vaulted ceilings of the rooms on the garden level. The interior has also been restored with respect for the feel of the original building with a mountain chalet theme for the suites and a country chic feel for the bedrooms.

The metre thick walls of the vaulted living room on the garden level, where breakfast is taken, ensure that the room stays warm in winter and cool in high summer.

The bedrooms and suites are all equipped with private bath or shower and WC. Soundproofing is excellent, there being only one or two rooms to a floor and those joining the main corridor having a double door.

Whatever the orientation, our rooms and suites have a magical view of the mountains.

In spring, summer and autumn, starting directly from the residence, head out to discover more than 800 km of footpaths or traverse the Valley by mountain bike....

Try your hand at rafting on the white waters of the river or set off by bike or motorbike to conquer the seven legendary cols of the Ubaye, including Europe's highest. Reach for the peaks.... or simply relax alongside the river...

Discover the Mercantour National Park, the Serre Ponçon lake, the Upper Ubaye valley... so many delights are within a short drive of the residence.

Ten minutes away is the little town of Barcelonnette with its Mexican villas, festivals, varied entertainment, shops and services..
